The establishment of International School Innsbruck
In 2012/13 we further developed the bilingual stream to what is now known as an International Class. Our intention is to offer a highly academic programme with supporting co-curricular areas that are otherwise reserved for students attending a privately funded school. As of 1 September 2013, the International School Innsbruck (ISI) at Akademisches Gymnasium Innsbruck has been granted the status of International Baccalaureate World School candidate. Our school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Akademisches Gymnasium Innsbruck believes is important for our students. *Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its three academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the Diploma Programme (and in addition the IB Career-related Certificate). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted. For further information about the IB and its programmes, visit www.ibo.org |
